Memberships

Worth it is personal.

Start with the facilities you will use, the visits you can realistically make and the price after any introductory offer ends.

Write your own essentials list.

Separate the equipment, classes and spaces you need from the extras that sound appealing. A bigger facilities list is only useful if it supports your actual routine.

Then check the cost of the plan that includes those essentials. A lower headline rate may have access restrictions or exclude a class you want.

Make the cost visible.

Use the ongoing monthly rate and a realistic visit count. This estimate spreads a one-off joining fee across 12 months and assumes the same rate and usage throughout that period.

Price is one part of value.

  • Convenience: include the journey, changing time and hours you can actually use.
  • Flexibility: compare the minimum term, notice period and any restrictions on pauses or cancellations.
  • Experience: consider whether the atmosphere and support make you want to return.

Keep a simple record of your first few weeks. If you use the membership less than expected, review the plan before its next renewal or notice deadline.

Use our checklist before you join. The best value is a membership that fits your week at a cost you are comfortable with.
